The Fisherman and the Selkie
PURPUR SONGBOOK & MERCH ILLUSTRATION

Christine Rauscher, PurPur
“My name is Christine 'Tini' Rauscher, and I am a freelance musician, performing with the medieval folk band *PurPur*, among others. I was looking for a black-and-white line art illustration to accompany a song from my songbook project, *The Fisherman and the Selkie*, published by Zauberfeder Verlag. Stella created a line art drawing that perfectly matched the song's theme and brought it to life visually—so much so that, after consultation, we even used it for additional merchandise prints.
The best part of the collaboration was the close communication and her ability to incorporate my individual wishes while maintaining her distinct creative style and artistic expertise. As a client, you may know what you need, but not always what you truly want or what is possible—Stella provided professional and transparent guidance that ultimately exceeded my expectations. I can highly recommend working with her; she perfectly combines creativity with technical expertise. Thanks to her experience in the design industry, she knows what works while still being open to individual requests, ensuring that my vision was brought to life without limiting her creative freedom. The result was the best possible outcome, and I would gladly work with her again anytime!”
