Flight of Colors
NOUR AND THE MERCHANT

STORY:
The client envisioned a striking and ethereal macro butterfly wing print for a new collection, designed to enhance the flow of a long kimono shell. The print was to feature intricate close-up details of butterfly wings, capturing the delicate patterns and textures with a sense of awe and wonder. Two color variations were requested: one in emerald green nuances, evoking a rich, natural elegance, and another in soft rose and nude tones, offering a subtle and sophisticated palette. The design needed to maintain a sense of delicacy while highlighting the vibrant and organic beauty of nature. I illustrated the butterfly wings with fine, symmetrical patterns, allowing the colors to shift seamlessly across the wings, creating a harmonious blend of light and shadow. The colors were carefully chosen to evoke a sense of softness and fluidity, enhancing the overall elegance of the kimono shell. The layout emphasized the natural flow of the wing patterns, drawing the eye to the delicate interplay of hues and textures that capture the magical essence of nature.
